This is a memorial to Tyrone Korte and Rolland Griffith along U.S. Highway 59 outside of Lawrence, KS. I’ve driven past this several times and thought it could also serve, rather poignantly, as a memorial to the corn that has died due to the extreme drought conditions in the Midwest.
Farms will fail this year and husbands will hang themselves in the barn.
So I moved to Lawrence last week. This is the living room of the new place and the legs belong to my roommate Sasha. Pearl, my other roommate, gets back from an artist residency tomorrow. I expect you’ll be seeing a lot of them :)
